A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has exceeded over one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in just one month. The initiative forms part of the international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide clear information about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately 500 volunteers news euro 2024 are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in cities, neighbourhoods and local businesses. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a clear way.
The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
